Hmm

I think the plan with that last update was to do it and then come back in a short while after and finish it off... Such is life, didn't quite get around to completing that one so this belated update will have to do.

So: anything changed? Loads. Arm is all better now, moves quite happily which is very positive. Bedroom/office is now painted and new wardrobed up as well which is both excellent and also not. New computer was delayed so things hit a standstill on that front, having to use the old machine which is now downstairs for daughter t o Sims her little heart out (although, in an attempt for not going for the whole heart out thing it'll be time limited to, ooooh, say a couple of minutes every day maybe). A little uncomfy this having to sit at her level but there you go. Bedroom looks ace though, which is good.

Also meeting up with someone who I should find out more about in the next couple of weeks but am looking forward to the meeting very much. Partially because it's always nice to put a face to an email address and also because of all the people on the forum that we both frequent she is by far one of the least mad :) Also have bought a present to pass on which makes me smile muchos so that's all cool beans.

Lastly have spent what feels like the entire day printing out stuff for tomorrow, which is the first day of the London Book Festival. TBH I always go into such things apprehensively. I'm taking four projects with me tomorrow and dearly hope and wish to place at least one of them. Which one? Well, from a selfish point of view a couple are more complete and so would take the least work to finish but all told I like all of the projects. Some of them have been kicking around on the inside of my hard disk for too long and it is quite demoralising to draw r write somethings thatI feel came out quite well languish in only my imagination. It'd be nice to see them move on and, dearing in mind that the Sylvers had a posiive impact on some people, hopefully help out some people. Anyhow, that's the wish of everyone going tomorrow and over the days after so I'm not in any sort of a minority here, sometimes it just feels a little sad to have made things that click and not see them find a champion (that said the Sylvers haven't found a champion per se, they've just made lots of little in roads so maybe I'm just a small field plougher.... )

Then, after LBF it's straight onto Artisan which is a collective of Christian media bods. Am partially going with the WYAC hat on, to try and enlist some patrons of the centre, because i'm fed off with the wrong sort of patronising that I'm getting. So Artisan, partially a hope for others, partially a need for some time alone with others with God.

Lastly, and don't know if they read this, but a: last gig by This Years Dropouts on saturday so popped along to that and... well, there was a tear in the eye. They were and are a cracking bunch of lads knocking out cracking tunes. Who knows which way the two sides split will go to, or even if my hope that they can come together to try and talk out the issues that had arisen, nor whether there was more that I could do to have fixed things beforehand, which guiltily hints around the edges of my mind.... But whichever, a great British band that may neverbe and I'm a little, well, a lottle sad about that one. Of course it may work out for the best, but for the mo I'm left with a great CD of their last but one performance and the memories of Stadium tours that now won't be the same.

Also one of our other bands, Lost in Soho, performed tonight at the Islington Academy. Was due to be there as well to cheer them on before an unplanned wifey sickness put the brakes on that idea. Again, bit sad about that, was well up for the gig and the whole thing should have been blates leet. Gutted (well, wifey was). So things not going to plan so far in a couple of ways. Back to work this week so shall be interesting to see if things start going back on track from now on in. But tomorrow is coming fast and should get some sleep in. Hope it works out, although what works out in the grand scheme of things is I'm not to say, but from my hopes and dreams I know what I'd like to feel following tomorrows stuff. We'll see.
