back to my desk, back to reality...
Yesterday was very pleasant. Lovely warm autumnal day, always nice to do a flying visit into London and out (if only for the fact that I always visit the Sushi shop just next to Embankment tube station... Mmmm Sushi....Easily pleased, me. But there is something about London that I like. Things that I loathe as well, but the city had a huge energy and architecturally is always hugely interesting..) So did that then tubed my way to the Premier offices (and they are seriously posh) and was met by Julia Fisher, who was just such a friendly face and attitude. Instantly felt at ease.
Less good was the fact that I was so short on the seat (short power, one day things will change) that I had to crane my neck slightly to reach the mic. Ah, bless. Was a very pleasant interview and one of the things that surprised me was that (apart from the fact that there's two r's in surprise, which always gets me) was that there was little carry over from one interview to the next. Apart from a couple of questions (characters in the book etc) the questions all came from different angles, which I liked, but I'm going to have to train my mind to think quicker. I walked out of the studio thinking about things I would have liked to have said if I'd thought of it more. One question (it's been a tough year in ways, tell me about that) should have been answered with the fact that my home church has been incredibly supportive. Didn't mention that but should have.. Think the rest of it went OK though.
Anyway I did the do as well as I could and was in and out of the studio in less than an hour, which was a little unexpected, so I mooched around London for a while before going back home. Hmm there's probably more I can say on this but trying to do five things at once and not really getting any of them done. So for the moment I'll stop there and come back when I've ticked a few things off on the list.
