Cakes a dropped it.

Brief update today, possibly more later, some things to share (nothing earth shaking just yet tho...)

Anyhow, thought I'd share a small portion of family life with you..

Son boy is autistic, which means we have to find unusual ways of coping with small problems. One such incident was watching Tweenies a couple of weeks ago. Milo (easily the best Tweenie) dropped a tray of cakes and Stephen, who isn't often allowed cakes as part of a diet trial we're doing in conjunction with the Royal Surrey Hospital was completely, noisily upset by this. The only sense we could get out of him for five minutes was him saying 'cakes a dropped it' over and over... The only way out seemed to be to make a game out of it (we often have to resort to distraction).

So everytime he said cakes a dropped it Wifey, daughter or I would jump on him and tickle him shouting 'cakes a dropped it!' Soon this became a game and then things were rosie again on planet Stephen. Since then he's often come to us and shouted 'CAKES A DROPPED IT' where we drop everything and tickle him until someone else says it and then we all tickle them instead. The game can go on for ages.

I mention this in case any of our neighbours wonder what the hooting hecks going on in a noisey morning (such as this one) and read this blog. But it is cute and thought I'd share.

Currently listening to: Garcon Pamplemousse. Benzine Headset (I'd forgotten just how good that cd is.. GC is the one cd name for Pete Wilson, also known as Booley and Duke Special. Very talented musician and songwriter). Currently playing: Final level of Halo (1, in anticipation of 2. Played a bit of 2 last night after youth group and HOW COOL IS IT!!! That and I beat the friend I was playing by a strong margin {10-9} All told a good night that one...)
