OK, so it's been a sort of hibernatory state over the past week or so, not really thinking about much more than.. Oh I'm sorry. Hang on I'll start over.

Nice Christmas? How was your new year? Pleasant I hope. Me? Well apart from son then wifey then me then daughter falling prey to a stomach bug (somewhat messy, very messy in sons case) and my daughter and I falling down a manhole it was very pleasant thankyew. Family gatherings are generally very pleasant indeed (yeah I know, weird isn't it) and was nice to put everything aside for a while.

OK, tidying up time.

When I say that the past week has been hibernatory this entire second half of the year has been sleepful in a way, just a hugely busy and semi-stressy type of coma. For someone who isn't actually with a job I've never been busier all told. Some of that is to do with me taking on lots of small voluntary jobs, some to do with the fact that i've been sharing the parental roles during the day rather than when I got home from work this sort of thing. Some of it has been down to guilt that I wasn;t actually working. Anyway: Christmas saw a small lull in activity, bar a couple of areas of interest. One I can't say that much about just yet but saw me evaluating a shedload of books from various publishers over the Christmas break. Sometimes tricksome (shudder some were a little tricky to plough through) and some where a delight to read.. Shall prob say more on this subject but has been fun nonetheless. There's some cool Christian books out there for people to enjoy! Head down to your local Christian bookshop to check 'em out...

Secondly I'll be gearing up to sort things out with the upcoming culture section on www.xt3.com Hopefully this should be a lot of fun, taking into account books, computer games, comics, music and the like. I'm hoping to get together with someone that can look at sides of cultural life that I wouldn't neccesarily be that clued up on like poetry, drama, dance etc... So thats on my extremely long list of stuff to do.

Thirdly there's the small matter of accidentally finding 'Dr Sylver' at tesco. Made me smile muchly this did.

Hmm apart from that...? well my list is long and the day has officially started. Shall press on and hopefully have some interesting news sometime in the future (well, I've got to at some point haven't I? :) )

Currently listening to: Andy Hunter: Exodus. Currently playing: Outrun 2 almost exclusively for the while I should think.
