I went to an arts group meet in my hometown.. Basically wasn't the most fun evening for me in the world (this is the fourth or fifth meeting of the group. Evening content: what do you want from your arts group and what should we be doing and what would we be like if we were doing it... Which, conincidentally was the theme for the last one I went to...) Some of it was very enjoyable, but generally my mind kept wandering to the fact that I'd had to pull strings to not be leading youth group that night and when all was said and done I'd have preffered to be there instead.
Got home to find out that the youth group had been manic, way more kids than we're used to, another leader just didn't turn up for whatever reasons and two kids had been asked to leave. That said the other leaders coped admirably I'm told and that when all was said and done it was generally a positive evening for the majority of the kids. One kid did get punched however, and the puncher gets a home visit in the week (that'll be fun, sigh) but I do wish I'd been there to see the good and the not so.
Generally ended friday slightly dissapointed. This mornings been better tho'. Lots of playing balloon bouncing games with son boy and doing a few emails while wifey gets guinea pigs fed and we then go out to play frisbee...
