The Gadget Show Live.

Oh. My. Goodness. It's been a month. Not always an easy one but never a dull one... A while of so ago I was asked to do an artwork day for Microsoft's Office 365 launch and excellent fun it was too. From that contact was made with the Gadget Show Live and from that, over the course of a week or so of 'can we do this' and 'could you do that' phone calls we found that a 64 sq m stand dedicated to tablet artwork, similar to the World Skills Festival stand, was a definite possibility. Cue many more phone calls about costs and budget and accommodation and coaches and all sorts and then, somewhere in the mix of emails, the stand morphed from one which was nestled safely and happily at the back of the first hall to one that was twice the size and next to Microsoft's stand. And I said yes to most of these things so, in many ways, this is very much my fault. Team Nick and Nikki have been excellent: my ALS co-ordinator said she'd take over the paperwork as she (mad, crazy fool) likes paperwork and Nick Thatcher has, of course, been building things. Amazing things. Specially made for the stand things. So, come to stand C120 for tablet art on a range of devices using a range of styli (majoring, of course, on the Nomads where I'll have Compose, Flex and Plays to test drive. We'll have touch screen monitors and touch screen interactive white boards. From a sponsor/support point of view I could not have made the stand happen without the very much appreciated help of: The Gadget Show, Microsoft, Autodesk, SMART board/Steljes, ArtRage, Wise and Sampli. All fabulous people and companies. Think we'll be doing something in partnership with the British Tech Network, which is always a pleasure. Artist wise we're due to be joined by Nettie 'Lumilyon' Edwards, Kyle Lambert, Stefan Marjoram, Chris Dan and others TBC. And in the middle of it, snoring softly on a cushion, will be a tired orange zombie teacher who wakes up at the end and asks what he missed...
