Ladies and gentlemen of the world, I would like to borrow your imaginations for a moment.

If you have journeyed to this page; thank you. If you read further than this point; a hundred times thank you. And if you join in with my odd vision of discordant visual joy - a million times thank you.

I need your help. There are an army of people about to join me in a group art exercise. Tens of thousands of people in fact. Some will be brilliant and some will look at their tentative first steps and regret what they have done. Some will have complex needs and others will fly high, academically. Some will be young and others will be old and when their pictures are brought together into a glorious collaborative picture everyone will be valued and the whole image made will be greater than the sum of its parts.

But before we start, to encourage all to take part, I would like you to make the first encouraging picture for all to see. It doesn't matter if you think you can draw or if you are under the mistaken impression you cannot. All of you who join in will make a brilliantly glorious picture the likes of which have yet to fully escape the cage of an orange egotists skull.

Step one: using a dark coloured pen draw me a window, a door, a brick with your first name in it and something you might see on the outside of a house or mansion.

(This is the only guidance I'll give: make it cool, quirky, odd, personal to you, detailed, simplified - whatever you want. This is your door and your window and it will join others. Many others).

Step two: photograph the pictures, either separately or together, in as well lit/ unshadowed a manner as you can.

Step three: tweet me the picture using the hash tag #ManyWindows.

If I've tweeted you it's because something you've done I've loved or bought or enjoyed or been passionate about. I am HUGELY passionate about having people draw something simple that becomes complex Through group work and that brings delight and joy to everyone.

Please join me. Five minutes of scribbling will make me smile for weeks.

#ManyWindows at the Gadget Show Live, April 2 (advance showings), 3-7 (public group art work).
