Up to eyelids in it but wanted to do a quick blah update before things slip the slope into oblivion that is my mind...

1: went to an arts group meet in London on saturday and muchos fun was had by all. Was a really cool time in complete contrast to other arts groups I've gone to. A shared sense of purpose, a drive and most importantly the ability to just get together and have a laugh made the afternoon into early evening well worth the travel for me... Here's hoping that some of our singlular and shared dreams come off, and that we can support each other in the doing of that. There may be some news to report on that soon but we're agreed that the group is about cameraderie and support for the moment and we'll see what that grows into. Plans are afoot but tbh I've seen a lot of plans made at various times...

2: Up to eyelids in it at the mo. One day I'll be up to eyelids in stuff that isn't so pressing or actually pays..but for the moment, this morning, I have to crack on with the cover for book 2 which is going to be shown at CBC and an article about the arts thing mentioned above... theres loads more but they're the two most important things on plate at mo.

Incidentally shall unveil the book cov here soon I think. Would be interested in comments...

3: watched 1 hour of the 100 greatest cartoons ever on channel 4 last night. It was a three hour program but to be honest the presentation just wound me up a wall.... If I'd wanted to watch 'The 100 top z list celebs and comedians you've never heard of saying unfunny things about a cartoon they remember seeing as a child and "hey they can talk in a Charley says voice that'll be good for several clips in a row" while showing probably less than 10% of animation in the entire show while Jimmy Carr gets paid far too much (assuming he did indeed get paid) to stand still and say something that seems neither funny nor profound to usher in the adverts' I'd be a: a very sad man and b: would know what it was that I had tuned into see... Ooooh was mad I can tells you. If there was 10% of the program time actually given over to cartoons I'll be surprised. The format of the program is presumably: awful pub conversation tv that sounded funny at the time but looking back on it it's a bit embarassing for all concerned.

4: Tetchey still it would seem.

5: Daughter had a birthday sleepover on saturday. She neither slept nor did any of the 8 other 9 yr olds with her.. Was fun, but oh boy did we all suffer for it around mid afternoon on sunday.

6: Had a nice chat with the pastor of Watford FC last night by phone. Was good and positive time and enjoyed hearing the comments on the book. On the face of it nothing much came out of it in terms of actionable content, and he was apologetic about that but who cares? Whether it's making small contacts or finding the big endorsement 'Library of Everything' isn't about always running for the biggest name to endorse it on the cover... I want it to reach kids who're unhappy and since the guy said he'd start to pass it on via his churches youth worker or whatever I'm happy. Was a positive time and enjoyed it. That said if anyone could pass it under Thierry Henrys nose then I wouldn't be unhappy with that. Happy small, happy big.

7: Also contacting all of the hearing impairment schools and units in the UK this week with a spam mail. I know, I feel awful, but I did contact a few schools beforehand and they were very keen on the information to come their way so it's not so bad, honest... Anyhow, my hands are going to be all typed out by this time next week I reckon.

Currently listening to: Maroon 5, then onto Alison Moyet on the old playlist.Currently playing: A juggling game of far FAR too many tasks and nowhere near enough time. still.Currently trying to finish: Said jobs.
