An interesting mix, some might say a perfect one. Was delighted (and surprised) to see the book on Play though, even at a lower price :~) So that's Tesco, Play, Amazon, Wesley Owen and half a doezen small Christian E-tailers all selling the book... I'd prayed for mainstream distribution and that seems to have happened all told (although the mainstream bookshops are proving a tough nut to wrap C4 around). First print issues are selling well it seems (and that's before we even get to contacting all of the deaf schools/units which is taking ages to collate all of the information) and what with the fact that the second print will change some of the spelling mistakes and change one of the character names slightly (one of the comments that came in in one of the reviews is that three people are called Simon. It's the first review - or comment - I've had to this fact but it is true and it is a valid criticism so am aiming to change it if and when we get to a second print for the book.)
Anyhow anyone with a first print should hold on to it for 'teh collectors edition!!111!!!' feel :)
Different subject, and possibly the thing I should have led with, but daughter was baptised yesterday. Was a lovely time ofr all concened, a really nice service, daughter gave a speech in a confident and brave voice and then Ju and I went out to do the teen group which was the chocolate game for our dear departing vicar to join in with. Just a really nice day all round. Then I went to a mates house and he walloped me around on Halo 2. Sigh.
Finished Oddworld also. Yay. I've finished a game this year. Two even bearing in mind I finished Halo 2 and that was this year as well wasn't it? Anyhow, cracking game, shall mull over it more and say why another time.
Also also: this blog is fun and all, but a little unstructured. I'm mulling over the idea of only posting on a monday and thursday or something.. Any comments on that or do people prefer the random chaos?
