Ok so today has been somewhat busy... So far I have:
Woken up early, dragged myself out of bed, made brekkie and coffee. Walked into sons bedroom as he was beginning to wake up, caught the sick as he was sick on me, wiped clothes off and changed clothes where necessary, organised a different lift to the radio interview at short notice, gone to the radio interview*, done the radio interview, gotten back to my church, spoke at the fornt encouraging people to take part in the Ready for Action weekend coming up next week**, watched the teen group I run do the prayers***, picked daughter up from grandparents house where she had gone after church while I carried on organising for next week and then gone home, made lunch for family (wifey was feeling ill by this point, son was beginning to eat light stuff) and then, when it was all quiet sat down and slept like a lump for two hours. Woke up, chased Guinea Pig around to wash eyes (suspected conjunctivitis), washed up and played with boy and wrote this and drank coffee flowingly from beginning to end. Actually you could probably replace each comma with the word coffee instead, which may mean I should cut back for the evening...
Almost just a normal sunday then, but not quite.
*Radio interview went well I think, although nerves always take over and felt a litle shakey before, during and after... Was asked to mumble into the mike when I arrived and then promptly forgot to do so, panicking the Brighton studio (I was in Guildford still) to think there was a technical hitch. Oops. Arrived back to church to be congratulated by a few people who had heard it which was lovely. Have it on tape, haven't worked up the courage to listen to it yet, always hate the sound of my voice on the radio... Still, was wonderful to be asked on and hopefully some of my blathering may have been interesting to someone...
**Ready for Action is the Social Action week based in Guildford. Think Soul in the City writ small, although we've been doing it for four years now. More info here: http://www.matrixtrust.com/group/group.aspx?id=2977
***Kids were ace, as always. Really made me smile to see them take on the prayers and do them with gusto, energy and power. Excellent show chaps.
In other news. 24 tonight yay. Enjoying this series, although it's maybe just slightly, ever so slightly over the top.
Current 24 guess: Jacks last series.. C'mon you think they can top this one in terms of plotline? Last show Jack leaves for pastures new. Accountancy would be my guess, and lets be honest he's earnt it right? Currently listening to: Um.. nothing, been rushed off feet today....Currently playing: Yoshi's Story, playing around on the Don't look back level at the moment and it's tippety top stuff. Fantastic game./i>
