OK so it's the Christian Resources Exhibition in Esher for publisher and I today. No idea what the day will involve and include but do have a couple of not-really-sure-of-why meetings lined up :) They're the sort that don't have a discernable end but may come up with something nice, and of course it's always nice to put faces to email names.. anyhow we'll see. I do have a small list of asks for one of the people I'm going to meet but don't neccesarily believe that many (if any) may come off. If one does then may well have a completely cool piece of news for you soon oh yes indeedy.
Also: wearing one of the now infamous and semi-limited edition Library of Everything t-shirts, hoping that I can ply my trade doing those if possible, we'll see again. My life is a list ofwe'll see's at the moment. Would be nice to actually see something at the moment :) So if you see a ginger haired, ginger bearded oddball walking around wearing a black t-shirt with a green splash of text say 'hi' and I'll say 'hi' back...!
Also also: signing the contract for book 2 today. So for all of the emailers asking when it's out... well its one more hurdle jumped for a start. And yes, that is one 'we'll see' ticked off :) I have some more pressing we'll see's on my list though, although I guess it's a little rude to pick and choose...
Last also: Going to see Alison Moyet at a gig soon just got the confirm email... Yee HAH. Cannot cannot wait. Love the Dame to pieces and if you haven't heard her last two cds (Hometime and Voice) then you have seriously missed out. Utterly mind meltingly lovely voice and (on Hometime specifically here, Voice is a collection of other peoples songs) incredibly clever writing skills. Moyet = top stuff. Shan't get to meet her sadly (wasn't even hoping, but when the email came through it said shan't get a chance to say hallo due to travel arrangements which was a shame and made me realise I would have loved to, but regardless, an evening in the presence of extreme vocal dexterity? Who could say no).
