Foot cakes...

Ok ok so this update is gross. I freely admit it and am semi-unrepentant. If you are of a nervous or queasy disposition look away now. Check out the dullest blog or some of the links to the left. Check out my book website or something... Just don't read this. You have been warned.

Verrucas. They hold a special place in the hearts of my wife and I for various reasons that I won't go into here and now. Daughter has been having a prime crop dealt with over the past few weeks and, we think and hope and pray, we dealt with the last of them a couple of nights ago. Such an event could not go unnoticed so tonight we had an un-Verruca party, complete with cake. Daughter and wife decided that we should have a cake in the shape of a foot, complete with..

..and this is the gross bit.. you can still turn back..

...complete with choccy chip verrucas that you could pick out with a pair of plastic tweezers that had come from a finished up box of sweets from the youth groups tuck shop (and believe me you NEVER know when they might come in handy, hence us keeping them).

So anyway, un-Verruca parties. When they are all the rage remember you heard it here first.

In other news I like football. I like good matches. I don't have a favourite team but I do have ones that I'm not fond of and the antics of Ferguson, Keane, Silvestre, Scholes, Ronaldo, Viera, Pires, Bergy and others leave me cold sometimes with their occasional mean spiritedness and deliberate fouls and faintings. I'm also fairly unkeen on Von Nistelnit because whereas Henry relies on skill and flair to get his goals Rude sits on the line and takes goals from the feet of others. I remember once in a European match when Silvestre scored a fantastic goal and, from one angle, it looked like the ball had come off of Rude's head. It didn't, not by a few inches or more. He still ran off wheeling and prancing, milking the applause which was underserved. I often wonder what Silvestre thought of that, it being a good goal from his foot, a fact that R Von N was fully aware.

Anyhow, all preconceived ideas aside Man U were mugged. I'd wanted the Big A to win, but not like that. Added years to my life that match. Rooney did well in terms of temperament and should be congratulated for that.

Had some lovely news today in the morning which makes life 50% easier than it has been recently. God is good. Still haven't heard owt from the people and places that have projects from me in mind, but one of the swords hanging over the fams heads has been removed, for which I felt hugely guilty about this morning and feel somewhat better about now.... Next week hopefully shall be muchos productive not looking in the air for parachuting elephants.
