..out of order...

OK I've got a few minutes to quickly try and catch up before dashing out to get some bits and pieces from Guildford.... So where have we gotten to?

Wrote a long piece about EuroDisney the other day and then deleted it all at the last moment.. Still unsure of where I was going with it though. I loved the week we were there, beautifully sunny and the people who worked there were wonderfully polite and courteous, far more so than a good share of the visitors. That said we had a pass that allowed us as a family to get on most of the rides without queuing - one of the very few benefits of Stephen's autism - and so had far fewer of the hassles than some families would have gone through there. One moment was something that hit me negatively, a look on Stephen's face that summed up the confusion he has with the world sometimes which almost left me in tears... But for the most part it was a wonderful week and a big thank you has to go to Granpa and Granma who not only paid for it all to happen but looked after the kids when needed... It was a holiday we could never have had without their help.

Then, coming back on the Eurostar, we shared a carriage with the biggest bunch of comedy looking drug smugglers you could imagine. A couple of gangsta wannabes, a couple of girls who thought they were in a Destiny's Child video and a couple of heavies in suits. It all looked like it had been drawn by Scarfe or Jamie Hewlett. Some officials came and had a quick word with them and then, one after the other, they all went to the toilets for about half a minute each. Was a shame to end such a sunny time on such a seedy, ugly view of the world...

Then we got home and Stephen was sick with a yeast infection for two and half days (EuroDiz not really being set up for limited diets). Back at school today wifey and I are both hoping that he's feeling better...

We also found, on arriving home, that someone had broken into our house and redecorated our kitchen. Which was a wonderful surprise. No-ones owning up to it yet, but the finger seems to be pointing at various members of our church congregation who seemed to know an awful lot about where our sandwich bags may have disappeared to in the reorganised space. Bless 'em they did a wonderful job and, as tidying or decorating are not skills that wifey and I have honed yet, it was a very useful piece of help, and evangelism, as some of the crew helping were friends of the family rather than church members...

Then there was the Moyet concert, loved that, and been hyper busy with a small comic publisher logo (shall upload some images when a final one is chosen). Hmm what else... ? Part time youth work job interview thurs night, unsure whether it's the right thing to go for but we'll see...Am missing the games industry at the moment must admit, especially as some fantastic games are being released and I have no ability to get or play them (how cool does Electroplankton look? Very cool indeed is the answer). Still waiting to hear back from various UK and US companies on various projects. Anything else? Loads, but work to be done so shall sign in another time...

Currently listening to: Alison Moyet: Voice. Currently playing: Rayman 3. Last level is a pig on sticks and the camera is.. not as good as it could be...Current socks being worn: Gollum socks. Currently 24 guess: It'll still be on Sky but by that point they'll have worked out how awful the ad breaks are and change things accordingly.
