Waiting... For the Currrrryyyyyy.....

Lovely hot sunny day today. Got little done in the writing sense (although did have a meeting about school policy within the context of books 1, 2 and 3 which illuminated little but did make me feel that the books do say things as they would happen. Nice meeting though, generally).

Hmm what else. I'm having a curry. This is newsworthy because a: I haven't had one in yonks and b: it's a medicinally needed... The bleakness of last week has pretty much gone but some things remain... Son boy has had his moments, you could say, with tonights yellathon being that he's noticed that wifey has gone out for a meal with friends. Has been tough, but have broken through the misery and he seems happy enough now.

Read an interesting article of living with an autistic child written by Mike Rimmer in this months Families Together mag and whilst it focuses on the hope and positives of the situation, and there is always hope, it doesn't have the word count to be able to delve into the harder aspects of it. The trickiest thing is that there never seems to be a moment when you can stop and relax, let your guard down. We found son standing on the roadside a couple of nights ago having opened the front door (and cleverly re-putting the latch down so we wouldn't notice he'd gone and climbed over the front fence. He's desperate to get on the bus that goes past our house you see... In his own way he's brilliant, utterly amazing...) But there's never a seconds rest, which can be quite wearing...

((There's an excellent piece on computer games in the FT magazine as well, well worth checking out if that's an interest to you)).

Work wise up to eyelids in it. FISH summer school leading coming up, ad for Christian Marketplace to be done, emails to be sent concerning Sylver possibly at two festivals (we shall see, as ever), five cartoon band characters for another client, Sylver 2 to be finished of course, three of the four cd reviews for Cross Rhythms done now... Couple more bits and bobs can't mention yet... Am a little overwhelmed there as well... Wifey is being lovely and supportive.

What else? Ummm can't think past a Lamb Bhuna and Potato Aloo to come so shall sign off.

God Bless all and always.
