Been sent four cds from Cross Rhythms to review for their next magazine... It's an eclectic mix, thats for sure (Sonicflood, Dave Bilbrough, House of Heroes, Job Buller) and shan't preempt the reviews by saying that much about them here...
Bar the fact that one of them, the House of Heroes cd, is something I keep getting drawn back to time and again. well worth a listen if anyones interested. Just playing it now prior to the walk into town (curry absolution, although I suspect it would have to be a long long walk to get rid of all of the grease and etcs) and shall prob listen to it again during the walk.
Different subject we're doing a kids slot at the church service to come with our teen group. They're pegging the little 'uns with pegs that say 'God is with you' on one side and 'pass it on' on the other. They then get to go out and peg who they want during the rest of the service. Should be fun. JUst found a peg from a way back when Spring Harvest or whenever that was in our peg basket that was the combination of two pegs that had come apart and been fixed back together in the dark. This accidental mish mash gave us the fantastic message: 'God is with you' on one side and 'he will eat you' on the other. Amusing, but theologically questionable at best....
