Induction, installation, collation...

OK so Installation sounds like it could describe a piece of tat masquerading as art (or dare I say it something to do with a lavatory) and Collation sounds like something that happens to a sheet of paper once it's on the way from being printed and stapled... So I guess we'll stick with induction, although that sounds as if it should be something to do with household insulation.

AAaaaanyhow, now that I've upset the traditionalists amongst you (hi mum) onto the words.

New vicar Derek Honour was inducstallated at St Peter's last night and very lovely service was had by all. Youth group had a part to play, and pegged the vicar and his wife and children as well as we could have hoped for (long story), other youth group members sang in the choir (very nice indeed) and Rosie handed the ceremonial jog of water over. Stephen came along, primarily because between youth group stints it's hard to find babysitters, and he entertained the crowd with his tangental comments. When Derek rang the bell to signify the message being proclaimed Stephen's head shot up from the tape measure he was playing with and he said '....! A clock!' causing a loud laugh from everyone in the packed church. Followed by a short conversation between my mum and him:
'it's a bell.'
'a clock!'
'a bell!'
'a clock!'
'OK it's a clock.'

What else? Mad dash trying to review four cds for Cross Rhythms for tomorrow and a diocese directory cover for thursday. All told I feel so busy and stressed that my head might explode, but... well, just needs to be done really, the work that is. Work also proceeds apace for the lantern festival and the book festival, more on which laters and as ever, it's back to work for me.
