OK so I'm a D? fan in many ways... For a start I appreciate their outlook and their down to earth nature. I love some of the songs (not all) and Access: D and Audio Lessonover are very big cd's for me. More than much else I also appreciate their sense of design in everything from the videos to the package design to everything really. The unfolding Satellite cover for World Service blew me away, such was its cleverness.... Then they didn't release Majesty for the Christmas number 1 slot and I wondered, that seemed a done deal in a way, an awesome Christian song straight in at number one for Jesus' birthday? Seemed a no brainer to me, although I'm sure there were reasons not to ... But 99.99% of the time I believe their decisions are right on the money. They are the most intelligent batch of guys, team of artists, rock group, whatever you want really. Song wise...? Well, they're not the red hot favo on my playlist, I do like them loads of course and am often listening away to World Service or whatever but in terms of appreciation? Unparalleled. I guess that might be part of why I was so dissapointed we couldn't organise an endorsement for Sylver... But I understand the busyness issues.. Oh boy do I understand them.

Which leads me to Paint the Town Red.... Now I'm aware of this song, sort of-kid of. Long term readers (hi Mum) will know that I was hoping to go to the Horsham concert where they played it for the first time but could not due to youth work commitments. Didn't help that we had a torrid night at the group, additionally punctuated by the text messages from the concert I recieved telling me how good it was at the gig. Thanks. Apparently PTTR was the standout track, an instant stormer.

Anyhow, many may know that the single release of it is being put onto itunes on monday 11th. Now I'm a techo throwback in this realm (although I have to learn quick for my youth arts job side of things) but anyhow, for those of you well used to the downloadey type of things Delirious?'s new single is out monday, itunes bound and thence to ears all over the shop. If you feel so able please do grab a copy of it, I'll be trying, because I think that this is something where we can show we're able. I want to see D at the top of the download charts and I'll be there in the virtual que. More on this small tecnhological adventure in a couple of days...
