...Hoo boy almost time to stop for the night but couldn't resist a brief status report concerning the Guildford Big Book Draw and the associated competition prize draw, the Guildford Big Book Draw Draw.

Lets be honest here was getting a smidge nervous as the time grew close... Lots to go wrong yet during the 6 hours (and that's a LONG time to go without a coffee I can tell thee) we had almost a 100 people through the doors, a wide mix of children, ethnic groups, friends etc. Was lovely to see everyone come together and play around and help each other and generally have a lovely time drawing, sticking, playing and all sorts. Utterly shattered, like you wouldn't believe but wanted to quickly mention a couple of things... But too tired to go through it so shall do so later... Anyhow, photos to come but all concerned said it was a huge success so that's nice. Big thanks to the Guildford Art Centre, HIT entertainment, Homebase, the Paper Shed, Rob Lacey, Rolf Harris, others tbc cos they haven't confirmed yet and most importantly the wonderful Templar Publishing of Dorking, Surrey ( www.templarco.co.uk ). They were monumentally kind, wonderful and generous and the sort of company that you hear about and assume doesn't exist. For all at Templar thank you especially so hugely much on behalf of myself, the GBBD and the kids who came and had a huge amount of fun. More to say, blanking out so shall do so later.

Night.
