H'okay, loads to get through and only a couple of minutes to do so so fly my little keyboard fingers, fly...

Yesterday: Half rough, half smooth. Rough, just the loads to do to get the Sylver Christmas thing going. Getting loads of interest from some places, others, that I'd hoped would jump on board this time aren't. Not a prob so much, I'm sure it's in His hands, but dispiriting somewhat nonetheless. Smooth was the final rehearsal for the bands on friday, of which more of that in a sec.

Today: teaching at college with the reticent students... loads to get done, still, even though today is hand in day. I feel half bad for them (they have had some wrong decisions made against them in the past) and half disturbed at their lack of progress (they're stuck in this trap of feeling angry all of the time and not in a productive mood and the problems they've been caught up in are by no means all one way traffic.) I keep asking myself if I was that...lazy... when I was a student. Sometimes I guess I was, and there's a lot to like in the students I'm teaching.. But leaving their final deliverable until three days after the final day is making my hair curl.

Then, in the afternoon, (I hope, big time), I get the copies of the 'Tale of the Small Coin' from the publishers. yayyyyy.

Friday: Ah now this is where the plot gets hot. Can't wait. Basically I've been involved with something called 'Live and Direct' in Knaphill at the Youth Arts Centre. We're running two music evenings for school age kids to get together in bands and play their little socks off prior to gigging in pro venues.

The first of which (we're now 10 weeks into a 30 week course) is this friday. And that's pretty much all my mind is on at the moment, surprisingly so as it's my birthday the day beforehand. Anyhow: if any or all of you out there in Bloggsville are in or around Woking town Centre on friday the 9th December come along to the H G Wells centre from 8.30. Tickets are £2 on the door and I GUARANTEE you that you will see at least one soon to be famous musician on stage. Honestly I mean it, why do you think I'm being so polite to them now :) :) (actually I'm polite because it's good form for a youthworker, Smee). But I do 100% believe that we have at the very least 2 muso's that will in the future be the sort of people that I tell EVERYONE that I knew when they were young and foolish :) If you don't believe me, come along to Woking and be ready to be proved wrong. The more, as if often the case with these sort of things, the merrier.

So all told, big week for me and others I work with.... No wonder I feel so dog tired. And I do, you should see me, i'm a wreck :)

Currently listening to: Live and Direct kids practising still ringing around my ears and loving every second of it. Currently playing: What? Computer games? Do I still play those? Can't remember... Although I'm about to get Mario Kart for birthday so in a couple of days the answer'll be there... Dr Sylver book of the week:Well, it's got to be the "Dr Sylver and the Tale of the Small Coin" mini book has it not? Available now from me or the publisher - Highland Books - free if you can sell copies on to raise money for Christian Aid...... Get in touch if you want to chat about it....

And with that, adieu. Off to teach. Wish me luck. Prayers gratefully accepted.
