So yesterday was the 35th and was very pleasant. Family all around, kids excited etc. Nice food, absolutely shattered though, Son boy woke us all up at 4 am and was up and down until 5. Today he woke up at 3.40 and was similarly...sociable....
Anydo: Busy y-day as well. Sign Language lesson in morning (and my brains always way mushed up after that), the home for daughter's school play. Then Philip the publisher arrived with the boxes of mini-books (yay!) and then family arrived. Was muchos relieved when sleep came.
So: the mini-book. Three boxes, 400 copies in each. So far I have 7 partner churches signed up with 25 churches that I'm often in contact with, or known at, also having been contacted. Still space on the list for more if more want to join us, by which I mean that I need to have 20 partner churches to make things work. For some bizarre reason the cover has come out much darker than it shows up on my screen.. Shall have to check into that later, but apart from that it looks pretty spiffey. Please do get in touch to nab some if some are wanted. Basically I'm doing all of the phoning and emailing around for the project, which I don't mind, but it'd be nice to share the task a little.
Faro present? A cheap large lead clutch pencil wifey bought me. Fantata it is, loads of fun and feels just right when drawing. Funny how it's the little things that make the most impact, last year she struck gold with a glass dip pen which again was lovely to play with... Did have a lovely day anyhow. And now, sigh, back to work
