Hopefully the last one of these for a while... By which I mean working throughout pretty much the entire weekend. I don't mind the occasional saturday stint at the Youth Arts Centre, that's on the cards anyhow, but a mind on the wire, looking at work without much of a break. Pretty fed up of those. Pretty fed up in fact.
Aaaanyhow, tomorrow and tuesday should be interesting: off to Plymouth to do a little bit of freelance design work which should be pretty cool. Interesting certainly, looking forward to passing news and images on on that one, but at the moment don't think I'd be able to.
Book's done, last copies being perused by a couple of readers as we speak in the hope that we can, miraculously, make sure there are no typos. Cover's almost done, shall post that onboard here some point soon also. I like it, others have given me very helpful constructive criticism which has been great and factored into the final design. One person who I don't know but have occasionally been in and around contact with said it was the worst cover he'd ever seen in his life. Actually he said an awful lot more, most of which made me laugh out loud (would like to post the whole quote he said about the cover, and have emailed him to that effect asking if he minds) but again, have factored what I think are some improvements into the final design according to what I think he was saying. Maybe I'll be lucky. Maybe he'll come back to me and say it's DEFINITELY the worst cover he's seen in his life.
