In one of those 'why can't I ever say no' moments I took on the doing of a logo and the poster for the Diocesan Day of Prayer coming up soon. I should have said no, I really should, because I'm losing it in terms of busyness yet....

All told this is an unusual image for me, really pleased with the effect. It's a background, so meant to look like it's missing something yet it also seems to work on its own as well.. Surprised me how much I liked it when I was done.

Also:

just read an article about the slowing down of the McDonalds juggernaut in Ju's parents copy of saturdays Guardian. Liked it, made me smile... Between that and Fishsoups chat about ethical shopping and the excellent Velvet Elvis book by Rob Bell which I've just been enjoying I've decided that I must train myself into thinking more about the contents of the packaging that surrounds us. Good on you to Fishsoup, Tearcraft, Tearfund, Fairtrade and all the others that manage to start giving that a go. Next stop? Hmm ethical, organic vegetables for the youth group tuckshop here we come :) :) Heh, I can just imagine their faces.

Currently listening to: Five Iron Frenzy: All the hype that money can buy. Currently playing: work. Sigh. Current socks being worn: Dull Lord of the Rings ones. Currently prayer requests: For Rob and fam. For health, healing and a rich blessing on them all.
