...so I'm tired. been working most days at the Youth Arts Centre by and large and days off that turn into days teaching and, if I'm very very lucky doing some marketing on the book (which is nowhere near as often as I'd hope for the past two weeks...)
Anyhow today it hit new heights, or depths, depending on which way you'd wish to look at it perspecively.
I'm walking to college, having walked daughter to school. Over the past couple of weeks I've fallen asleep twice while walking home from various events and so far it's only been a little shock.
Today got to the roundabout near college, was about to cross when a car started to come round the corner. So I stopped, stepped back and let the car pass. Then I started to cross again. That's when, bizarrely, I fell asleep again. Well, sort of. I shut my eyes as I was about to cross, then I think I opened them again, started to move forwards and then realised that my legs weren't moving. Fell like a sack of spuds onto the road (which, at the least, woke me up) in front of a large crowd of students and then, fortunatley, the car that had started to come around the roundabout stopped to let me get up. Then went into college, grabbed some sterilised wipes (elbow was a bit of a mess, still bleeding I think every time I move it it being right on the joint) and a large plaster.
Then I got told off for walking out of the nurses office with a colleague (I didn't know where it was). Well not told off, but was asked what we were doing there and had to prove it by still bleeding around the padded area of the plaster.
All told: odd. Maybe I need to sleep more. Funny old day anyhow. In the end the meetings weren't anywhere near as bad as I was expecting as well so.... hmm who knows. Sort of kind of new to me. As was writing, but writing's more fun.
Anyhow, day is done, just waiting to photocopy something for a student and back home for the one night off I have this week woo!
Nothing new on the book this week, bar a review on BBC Radio Cumbria, that I'm aware of... Sent out a million emails, had one reply (in INTERNET stereo - thanks Dave %) ) Maybe next week will be more encouraging...
