In last night for 6 hours tidying and trimming and all the rest (after working all day: must learn to delegate), then home at half 11 and then up at 6.30 for a bus at 7.20 In the Arts Centre at half 8 for final polish and then the film crew arrived

Yup, we had GMTV in this morning shooting a piece to mark the tenth anniversary of the Spice Girls first single, Wannabe. Been a long morning all told, but was nice to see a film crew moving around the place, checking out areas of interest and chatting about youth work.

Unfortunately the piece is too short for them to cover any of the youth work that happens here on a weekly basis, and in the end I wasnt filmed at all, despite the early morning start and the long wait while they filmed the previous manager (not now a part of the work we do here) talking about being here at the same time as the girls, which is only as much of a shame as that we didnt get to say anything positive on the record about the bands in here now ((So I have to say it here instead: the bands currently playing at the WYAC, all of them, are ace and I hope that they move on to bigger and better things as they progress as musicians.))

If youre interested the piece will air tomorrow, probably around 7.20 (although it could go out anytime between 7 and 9.30 I think they said) and if your hankering has always been to see the Youth Arts Centre in Knaphill, or to see where the Spice Girls started up in terms of performance and practise, then tomorrow (weds) am is your chance. Me I'll be on a bus to work for my third 11 hour day in a row. Nice.
