Strange days, especially this weekend. Brother in laws birthday - good, son's autism coming into play at a garden centre - bad. Finished off a project at 2am saturday morning - good and bad (especially at noon on Saturday when it was catching up on me...) Loads to do - bad, loads done - good. College back in full flow - good and bad etc etc... This weekend especially felt like a couple of months all shoehorned into a couple of days. Getting near time to slow down for a while I think.

Aaaanyhow: Very brief recap of what's up when: Messenger = October 20th and should be interesting. I think some people will understand it and some won't and some may cause a little friction because of that. Hopefully the ones who do will counteract the ones who don't.

Sylver 3: sadly delayed until next year and that's been a real bummer for me. Work wise there was a lot to complete over multiple projects and when college issues arose in August something had to give. Not that I slowed up on Sylver, I just didn't have time to make it totally right and a couple of plot issues just couldn't be resolved in the short time I had to get it from complete to print. Very demoralising in a way but it'll come out and it still ends with a bang. It just needs a little more polishing time.

Probably as a result of that over the past week I've totally thrown myself into a short project that took over my brain completely for a few days straight. Basically I'd been looking for an image that I could take into college to show some of the students and it took a fair search through my back up discs to find. The thing that struck me, as I went through, was just how bad my back up system can be sometimes :) and how much artwork I've done for various people that I've forgotten I've even done. Some pieces I had to convince myself that they were mine because I totally don't remember anything about them. Anyhow at the same sort of time I became aware of blurb.com and the two things sort of came together. For the moment I've just done a 40 page book of artwork for me, in the same way that some people do scrapbooking of their favourite photos, and that went off to print with me doing the last 10% of work directly after youthgroup on friday night (until 2am but I was determined to finish it off then as the weekend was pretty packed). It's not due to be delivered for a couple of weeks but I can't wait. Between that and Messenger it's going to be a very exciting October for me.

Lastly also had 'Did You Know' released through Spring Harvest in September. It's a collection of resources for leading a young people's group in conjunction with 'The Exile Road' comic strip resource that we produced together for this years Spring Harvest weeks. That's out now and available from their website if anyone's interested in materials for running groups. If you use them let me know I'd be interested in seeing how other groups pick it up and what bits work best.

Signing off now, still muchos to do (college and arts centre morning and then teacher training from 2 pm... woo...) but here's some of the pix I found...
