Overheard on train Man on mobile arranging to meet someone in pub (for a "pilgrimage") says "I'm in Lewisham" Odd bit of usage. I think I'd have said "at" Lewisham. "In" seems to imply some more involved interaction with the place than just being on a train that happens to stop at the station. And overheard on a bus yesterday, a trade union official who seemed to be discussing how to organise a vote on strike action in another union. At least one well-known union leader mentioned. He's lucky I'm not a Daily Mail journalist.
