Up fell, down dale

I went for a walk on Sunday with my friend L. There were several remarkable things about this walk so I shall remark on them:

- We only met one other person (Polish, with her dog) on this walk. This despite the fact that it was a lovely sunny, but not too hot, afternoon. It didn't rain at all. Really.

- The walk took us to the top of a hill I have wanted to climb since first going to the village at the bottom, where the lady that made my wedding dress jacket (are you with me?) lives.

- At the top of the hill are a number of caves, or at least their entrances, which are all fenced off. One of them is called Big Meanie. You could see the sheep sitting on one side of the fence saying "Huh. Why is that not my grass?

- Neither of us remembered our cameras.

- And the most remarkable of all - I did not get a blister on this 7 1/2 mile walk (well, a tiny sore spot on the base of one foot). And L did. Normally I am blister central while all around are joyous.
