Another walk at the weekend - on Sunday afternoon - it was very pleasant to walk in the early evening but we did get back to London late. We walked about 5 or 6 miles from Nutbourne to Bosham - generally quite flat but the paths are a bit overgrown in places. The Bloke™ complains that all he gets to do on narrow paths is look at my bum. Why are you complaining, I say?
One helpful discovery is that with my Gold Card (annual travelcard from London Transport) I can pay £3 extra and get into first class on any journey. Probably not worth it for a 20 minute journey but for a 2 hour journey it's fabulous. We sat in our private compartment with our little reading lights, ate fish and chips and read the paper all the way back. Very relaxing.
