slaughter!

Nothing to do with the previous post - an ongoing mouse situation!

We found mice in the sofabed (well, evidence of mice, including gnawing), and we caught two with traps in the dining room, next door - filled up a couple of big holes in the skirting and floorboard too. Next, however, we cleaned out the understairs cupboard and they'd been there too... but Rentokil Advanced Mousetrap to the rescue - caught another one today. You should have heard me scream!

In other news, my mum is probably next for slaughter - we are meeting her in Norway where my brother is living temporarily, for a skiing holiday. She has done quite a bit of the organisation, which is very nice of her, and has gone on ahead. Cue multiple phone calls and emails to us to get a million different things, many of which are available in Norway, our cases are full of skiing stuff. We are happy to buy everything they need IN Norway...

Also, we are hiring a car in which will be travelling us, my brother and sister-in-law, and my niece. We all have to get the train to where we are staying, so they have decided they don't want to take her car seat, because it's "too big". They won't get a taxi to the train station because it's "too expensive". It's very bizarre first nagging, and then putting my foot down (we're happy to pay for a taxi, so that we can legally drive the car!) when it comes to my mum!
