Although it hasn't really finished - I was thinking of doing some work today but on checking my email it seems no-one else in the department is so why should I?
We stayed in a VERY posh hotel, and had lovely meals, and also popped in to see The Spouse™'s old church at their weekend away, and played silly games with them, and we climbed most of Cat Bells. I was ready to give up too when we got to the last bit, but has anyone got any tips for persuading reluctant but perfectly capable walkers that they can get to the top, yes really they can?
At the hotel there were various books which this hotel featured in and of course now we want to stay at all the other hotels in the books... hmm... perhaps we should take out a second mortgage?
The anniversary present I bought (an origami kit, he knows now what it was!) still hasn't arrived but the one I got (an autobiography of Jack Rosenthal, with the last chapter by Maureen Lipman) looks fab...
