Flying saucers, visitors from another planet with lights in their fingers... no, it's not Dr Who, it's Salad Days, which is 50 years old this year and which we saw last night. It was great fun, easy to see why it became a cult hit! I definitely think every flying saucer should have its own sugar lump, teaspoon and digestive biscuit.
Didn't cycle to work today - harumph - on Monday I tried to buy some onions and the local shop didn't have any, so I set off to the supermarket on my bike. Flying down the hill, I went over some glass and got a puncture. In my back tyre, of course. Apparently this is not just Sod's Law, it's because you turn over the sharp object to be pointy side up with your front tyre and then go over it with your back tyre.
So this morning was my first chance to mend the bike and I can't get the wheel off... since it's not been off the bike in the 3 1/2 years I've had it, or at least in the year since its last service (oops), it's not too surprising. Still, I did some marking on the bus. Debate now is should I go to Pilates after work, or maybe swimming?
