It's May!

OK, it can rain in May, but it is pouring and blowing a gale - if it's raining in May I should be able to put on a little skirt and no tights and dry off when I've got to work. Instead, since I'm going to choir tonight, I decided that I really, really need to go to the gym (circuits tonight) after work and before choir, rather than cycling to work. Wimp. Perhaps I should buy some waterproof trousers? that feels like failure to me, though, as I've survived 4 winters cycling to work without them.

We booked a holiday last night - very complicated involving lots of ringing up of airlines and attempting to use my 140,000 air miles (you read that correctly) but finding the flights are all full one way so then finding a cheap deal on one leg via Dublin... anyway we're flying to Los Angeles at the end of August for 2 weeks, flying back from San Francisco, and we've been reading about bearproof food canisters in Yosemite too. Most places will be ones I've been before - we'll probably visit San Diego, where I used to work, and definitely Monterey, where my grandparents lived so I spent every childhood summer - but it will be a proper holiday, we'll visit friends and family, but also stay in some actual hotels I would imagine...

P.S. having been tagged, what am I supposed to do???
