We were invited to the house of a colleague of mine, and her husband, last night for dinner and to stay over - he, like The Spouse, works an hour away from where we live, but they commute the opposite way round, which means she drives up our way most days. So in order to facilitate the consumption of wine, we stayed over in their lovely home. He has been collecting fifties and sixties furniture for quite a while now, and they have some really interesting stuff - they have decided they cannot buy any more chairs, ever, though. Lovely food too...
Then today we went out shopping, and among other interesting purchases we finally managed to buy a milk jug to go with our plates that we bought with vouchers we got for a wedding present - a year ago. I can't find a picture of the milk jug but the teapot is similar:
We lead such a thrilling life.
Also bought two books - Persepolis and Persepolis 2. Both extremely good - I read them both on the train on the way home! They are pictorial novels about the author (Marjane Satrapi)'s childhood and young adult life mainly in Tehran. Fascinating - I am just deciding who to pass it on to next.
