Sadly, like all good things, Greenbelt has to come to an end. All that excitment and anticipation for months before and then 4 days later, its over. As I was packing up on the Tuesday, I felt a strange mixture of feelings. I was reflecting on the amazing weekend I had just had, and all the people I was pilvilaged enough to see and spend time with. At the same time i was thinking, ohhhh - I've gotta wait a whole year till the next Greenbelt. Sometimes I wish that Greenbelt ran all year round, or there was a church that was just like it. But if that were the case then Greenbelt wouldn't be anything special. I would take it for granted. There wouldn't be anything to get excited about for months before hand. It would lose its uniqueness.

On the way northwards in the car, I had great fun spotting fellow Greenbelters, especially in the service station. We stopped for less than half an hour in a service station and I saw about half a dozen groups of people who had just come from Chelteham racecourse - it was amazing! I was very tempted to say hi to them all, but instead I simply gave them a smile.

When we arrived in Manchester, at my parents house, I began to appreciate all those home comforts that I had missed at GB. Like chairs, tables and a shower. Ahhh! The luxury! I gather my parents were quite overwhelled by my appearance, as it was several hours after my arrival before I stopped talking!

Don't forget, it all comes around again - only 357 days till Greenbelt!!!!!! (don't worry, I won't do this ALL year!)

Quote of the Day:
Jen: "The nice looking cake in there looks nice"
A subtle hint directed at my mum, as she was trying to fill up 4 hungry Greenbelters.
