A good day (so far!) :)

Yesterday I had such a bad day. I was thinking too much about too much stuff. And various other incidents, meant that by the end of the day, I was kind of tense and down. After a good chat with a friend, I woke up this morning feeling refreshed and more positive. Today, so far, has definately been much better.

This morning I did a visit up in a particular part of the Breacons that I have visited before - it actually holds a number of presently slightly painful memories - but the visit was very positive. As the mother spoke, I could see clearly how suffering can be turned around and used for good. She had clearly been through and will continue to go through, very difficult times. But she was high spirited and determined to use her experiences to help and support others in similar situations. She even stated that she was glad she had been through the suffering, because now she was more capable to support others. I was sat there, just observing, but thinking 'WOW - that is so true!' It helped me to look in a more positive way at all the stuff going round my head.

I was also very glad that I managed to make it to the communion in the chaplaincy. After driving round the Breacon's this morning, running to the station as soon as I was able to go, jumping on a train and cycling VERY fast across Swansea, I arrived in the chaplaincy, very sweaty and red in the face, just as it was about to start. But I was there. And with the help of a glass of water and a communion book to fan myself down, I even managed to calm down and be meditative enough to get something out of the service!
