Those readers who know me personally, will probably know that I've been ill the past few days. Those friends who have been desperately trying to ensure I get enough rest, certainly know. The doctor says I have mild tonsilillitus. But, the good news is that today I am feeling a bit better. I made it to my lecture this morning, and although initially regreted it, by the time I had several hours on cystic fibrous, asthma and other respiratory diseases, I was feeling postively better. It could also have been pure delight in the fact that I've finished my last lecture until March! :)
My throat is still sore, but its not too bad. The main difference is that I have more energy. Yesterday I felt quite lethargic - I was trying to take it easy, but if I did do something that required lots of energy, I'd need to go and lie down afterwards. I am quite impressed that I am feeling better, considering I have not taken any of the medications that were prescribed yesterday. Two different doctors gave me two different types of medication. Antibiotics were given with instructions to take only if it got much worse. The other doctor prescribed some yummy medication, which is currently being saved (though the amount of time I can manage to resist it, is definately limited)!!!
So, I think I'm through the worst of it. And not having to go to any more lectures is definately good. Although, I'm not sure how my throat will be after a weekend of carol singing.....
