...or any small part of it that might happen upon this corner of the net.

So, there I was having a perfectly "normal" evening, drilling holes in tin cans, sticking a candle underneath, and attempting to cook pancakes over them... and this wasn't even a Brownie evening, but an attempt to help Lemly with her planning for a youth evening. And then she starts nagging me again to get a wiblog. Well, at that stage of the evening, it seemed like a really good idea. And here I am.

By the way, experience showed that if you attempt this unusual cooking feat you should:

1) Use a can with a non-stick bottom (otherwise it gets VERY messy)
2) Use a big candle (or you'll be there all night)
3) Put way more holes in the can that you think you could possibly need
4) Have far more patience than anyone could expect kids to display.

It's a bit like watching paint dry - only with an added sizzling noise that makes it sound like the pancakes are cooking really quickly...which they're not. We made 4 very small 'pancakes' in the end - and then resorted to the frying pan. Much more practical!
