Greenbelt

Hmm..what to say that other people haven't already said better?

As a (previously) Greenbelt virgin, I have to confess that I am now well and truly hooked. It was fab!

Personal highlights had to be Steve Tomkins' "Speed Christianity" seminar, the comedy quiz, and the Late Night Twist. The latter was a somewhat fringe event I was introduced to by Lemly and Rhys - a mixture of songs, poems and general silliness, sometimes concluded by a bedtime story (this year Enid Blyton's "Secret Seven"). As far as the comedy quiz goes, I think it may now be slightly different listening to Martyn Joseph's music having observed him participating in ecclesiastical dance on the theme of the Greenbelt toilets, to the tune of the Sugar Plum fairy!

Meeting up with other wibloggers was also fun - you all seemed completely different from what I had been expecting - and distinctly less 'scary' than I'd expected it to be.Oh, and I also managed to bump into some friends I'd lost touch with 6 months or so ago due to a couple of unfortunate events, and am now thoroughly back in contact with them.

And just to finish off the weekend, I also have a new job :D
