Happy Australia Day to my Aussie readers - I know it was yesterday for you, but it's still the 26th here. I was very amused this morning to hear on the radio that in honour of Australia Day Trafalgar Square was going to be turned into Bondi Beach for the day. Any Londoners reading this will probably appreciate my amusement - today can probably best be described as "somewhat bracing". Somehow I doubt there were too many surf dudes and bikini-clad babes around, if they were all I can say is they were made of much stronger stuff than I am.
