You'd never believe it, but apparently here, in London, in the winter, we have a water shortage and are being urged to be more sensible and thoughtful in our usage of water. I don't object to that per se - this house has a water meter so I've always tended to be on the sensible side anyway, and used washing up water etc to water the garden, that kind of thing - but it's winter! It's been raining and snowing! Including just now! It's just not been raining and snowing enough apparently (only 25mm rain in January, as opposed to our usual 50mm) so there won't be enough water to get us through the summer if this carries on. Anyway, inspired by our very own Yay, I had a shower today instead of a bath. Not sure I can only manage 2 baths a week like Yay, I may have to work up to that one (normally I'm a one a day girl and two a day at weekends) but I'm not feeling too minging just yet.
