Big Word Project

I heard a feature on the radio the other week (I think on the BBC World Service) about this great project called the Big Word Project. It was set up by these 2 Northern Irish students who are currently doing their masters degrees in something-or-other techy. The basic premise is that they have every word in the dictionary, and they sell off each word at $1 a letter. Once you have bought that word, every time anyone clicks on it on the site it links to your own website. I thought it looked quite interesting, and I think would make a really fun and interesting present for the geek in your life. I'm thinking (probably around the time I finish my PhD and need to think about The Next Step) of getting my own website, using (horrors!) my real name, as one thing I want to do is sell myself as a consultant, so I thought I could find a relevant word and link to the site from the Big Word Project (as well as the more usual marketing techniques). But it also got me thinking about what words other wibloggers might buy, which sums up their wiblogs.

Me: Procrastinate.
Me (just before I submit my thesis): Wibble.
Tired & Emotional: Rant.
Rainbow Girl: er ... Rainbow.
heathcliff: Cat.
Rosamundi: fishknife.

etc etc. Over to you for more suggestions (keep 'em clean, please!).

[PS where did my other June posts go? I can't believe I'm still accidentally archiving, after all this time]

Extras thought of today (10.6.08):

Lemly: neighbour.
Rhys: welsh.
Arti: compost.
Miss Lisa: heels.
Ken: pub.
Smudgie: penguin.
Ferijen: carrot (it's that old facebook photo!)
Kerensa: iron (sorry, it's that old in-joke again)
Auntie Doris: gorgeous.

Possibly back for more later :)

14.6.08 Oh alright then:

alice: blonde (obviously), or maybe "mum" or maybe "girlie".
