To do lists

I'm starting to wind down at work - not literally (unfortunately the caseload demands won't let me!) but in terms of thinking about what needs to be done, by me, before I leave and trying to get as much as possible done and out of the way so that it will all tick over till the new person starts. Today I felt I got quite a lot achieved and ticked off the to do list (including starting to arrange my leaving do), so hopefully that will continue.

At home it's a different matter though. I really need to make a list. I've accepted a quote for removal and storage of my furniture (I nearly fell off my chair at the cheapness of the storage - a family friend is in the business, so I always intended to use his service as it's good when there's someone you can trust with all your worldly goods rather than some faceless company that probably couldn't give a monkeys, and because he's not in London the storage is 2/5 of the price of London storage - a lot of money when my income's about to go down so considerably). Which means that I have to start thinking about packing (if all goes to plan, the buyer will move in here 2 months today). And informing utility companies. And all that sort of thing. Sigh. At the moment I'm excited, but soon it will be chaos, and so I definitely think a list is called for. Then it'll all be alright.
