Society wedding of the year

I'm not long back from the lovely holly and JonoT's wedding in Sheffield, and what a wonderful wedding it was too. I won't post pictures just yet (unless other people do; otherwise I think I'd like the happy couple to be the first to see them) but will at some point when they're back from honeymoon (I hear Skegness is lovely this time of year, I do hope you have a wonderful time if you're reading this :) ). Needless to say holly looked stunning (well what do you expect from a Brummie posh bird?) and Jono looked so proud he was beside himself. I'll never forget the point when they were proclaimed man and wife - from where I was sitting I could see Jono's face, and he grinned from ear to ear like that was what he'd been waiting to hear his whole life. I'm tearing up just thinking about it, it was lovely.

I had a slight camera disaster when, whilst trying to discreetly turn on my camera during a quiet bit of the service I panicked when the little bleep the camera emits came out at about 200 decibels (well, I exaggerate, but it felt like it at the time!) and must have pressed the Button That Should Not Be Pressed in my panic. That button shall hereinafter be referred to as the Sepia Button of Doom. It meant that most of my photos in the church are now black and white (actually I'm really pleased I made that discovery, I didn't know I could do B&W as well, though I bet I won't be able to figure out how to do it again), and then I discovered that I could do sepia photos too. I didn't get too carried away though, but didn't entirely resist temptation so there is one sepia shot just because I could.

In my panic trying to undo the damage having pressed the Sepia Button of Doom, I then managed to set the camera to video, again without knowing a. how I did it or b. how to get it back to normal. Thankfully someone who knows about such things came to my rescue before I did anything else disastrous, but it was a timely reminder that Camera Instruction Books are my Friend (and therefore not to be left at home, oops).

And now I'm back, and really really really enjoying the feeling that, although it's Sunday, I've still got a whole week before I go back to work. That's a good feeling, I could seriously get used to it.
