... sadly now won't be happening. I alluded a couple of weeks ago to something potentially exciting happening, but heard yesterday that I won't after all be getting confirmed at the Cathedral (for that was the exciting possibility) as I was so last minute and the service is massively oversubscribed. Oh well. I can either head back DownSouth for my church's annual confirmation service in November (will see how my timetable and finances cope with this prospect) or wait till I find a church UpNorth (probably later as I won't know for a few months where in the city I'll be settling). We'll see.
