Things I won't miss when I move

Number 2: sod's law at work

Sod's Law at work states that things will not start to get busy, and complicated clients will remain quiet and unconcerning, until your colleagues are away on annual leave and you are the only person around to deal with stuff. So far, 2 days into my colleague's 2 weeks off, sod's law has literally exploded into my work life. Yesterday dealing with a really nasty case of domestic violence, and today being expected to drop everything at the drop of a hat as social services have finally decided to call a case conference on a family both I and education services have been banging on to them about for over a year. Gah.

Number 3: useless managers

With every passing day I am more and more convinced that my managers couldn't manage their way out of a paper bag. I'm so annoyed I won't bore you with the details, but we have a staff meeting later this week so I will be going in all guns blazing. I appreciate that managing this number of people in the health services isn't an easy job, I certainly wouldn't want to do it. But when the most basic things aren't being done, or done so excruciatingly badly, which even I as a relatively newly qualified staff member can point out (complete with obvious solution), it just makes me despair. Thank God I'm leaving soon.
