So here it is - thanks very much to my WISE buddy who sent me a fabulous bag of delights (plus one or two sillier items). And still left me guessing as to their identity, as they omitted to include their wibby name, but only their real name on the address label, which obviously didn't give me much of a clue! I did know it was from Oz, and I had initially thought it was unordered, but then I got to work and read unordered's blog saying that the parcel hasn't been sent yet. So then I got my thinking cap on, and I think the clue was in the wrapping paper - some photocopied sheets of sacred vocal music - so I reckon it has to be semele. The other reason I'd initially thought it might be unordered was that it included some Aussie recipes, but when I thought about it some more semele also blogs quite a lot about food, so I'm pretty sure I got there eventually. Good job I'm not a detective in real life though!
It'll be really embarrassing if it's someone else! But thank you, thank you, thank you - it was a fun present!

- boy am I glad you took the (ever so subtle) hint! Looking forward to these very much!
- I've heard so much about Tim Tams but never had the authentic experience, so I'm really looking forward to these. Sadly I had to keep the package in my car all day as I picked it up on the way to work, and it was boiling in there so I hope they haven't melted. I haven't looked yet as I've still two weeks to go on the detox diet and even melted they'd be way too much of a temptation. I have hidden them and the other edible bits in my secret hideaway to be brought out at the end of the diet and ceremonially scoffed.
- this one made me laugh. A stained glass effect "Platypus with Oz friends" will be just the thing for my new place UpNorth - I'll have to find somewhere particularly special for it.
- the parcel included 4 sheets of recipes, so I shall have fun trying some of them out. I'd never heard of Lamingtons until I started reading Aussie blogs here - if I have appropriate cookware available I shall maybe try to make some Lamingtons to accompany the blackberry flapjacks for the Wiblog gathering at Greenbelt. Hopefully there'll be nobody there who's ever had the real thing, so if they're disasters nobody will notice (I certainly wouldn't!).
So, thank you again semele (for 'tis you I'm sure!) for making an old woman very happy today! I hope your WISE gift is as fun as this one is.
(other items in the gift, for those that couldn't make them out on the photo, were a koala keyring made from kangaroo leather, a selection of Aussie teas, and a macadamia nut and honey bar. All in all a very balanced selection of fun and edible!).
