Cathedral and Necropolis

Today I took a wander up to what is known as "the Cathedral" (Glasgow has 3 or 4, but "the" Cathedral is St Mungo's, and is Church of Scotland) and the Necropolis, which is the big graveyard over the road from the Cathedral. I found the cathedral rather austere, though very impressive, but I was happy because I got my best ever stained glass window photos - they never ever come out as well as this:

The Necropolis is wonderfully atmospheric - full of humungous gravestones with massive crumbling statues on top. When I lived in London I lived near Nunhead Cemetery which I must say I think is creepier and lovelier than the Necropolis, but I still managed to get a few pictures I was pleased with which give a bit of a feel of the place:
