Today I picked up a hired carpet shampooer, in order to make sure that my house isn't TOO disgusting when the buyer moves in (spoke to her this evening - revised completion date is possibly next Thursday. Computer still goes tomorrow though :( ). As well as being very hard work (I feel like I've done a really hefty workout and I've still got two big rooms to do), the colour of the water when you tip it out of the other end of the machine from the end with the clean water in is really really foul! I could never ever claim to be flylady (far from it) but I'm not actually THAT disgusting, it's just the dust and fibres that are deeper than the usual hoover can pick up. Scary stuff!
I can't believe this house-emptying/moving business is taking so long! Even with lots of carpet cleaned and kitchen worksurfaces getting there, it still feels never-ending. If I was rich I would SO hire a cleaner.
