Tomorrow is what is apparently known as the Glasgow weekend, which is an unofficial long weekend so that locals can return to their families in the country and help with the harvest. Now obviously they've not done this for a good hundred years or so, but the holiday still remains, for the uni at any rate. So tomorrow I don't have to get up at stupid o'clock, something for which I'm very very grateful! I'm still going in, later, to meet with my supervisors to formulate an initial plan of action, and to meet with one of the lecturers from the department down the corridor who will hopefully be setting me up with some Romanian lessons. But I can still have a lie-in, hooray hooray. And I have Monday off too. This is the life.
And this evening I'm viewing a place, a little further out than I would have liked but with my income I can't afford to be that choosy. The pictures show hideous brown swirly carpets, BUT they also show a garden, something which is a bit few and far between up here it seems. I'll have a wander round the area and make sure it's not too awful, and let you know how it goes.
