Today, as evidence, I offer the following which has given me inordinate amounts of pleasure.
Whilst standing in the queue to pay for my new (and very very big indeed) Russian dictionary in a certain large-name bookshop, I picked up something that I'd totally forgotten about but which brought back tons of memories. Forget Sudoku or cryptic crosswords or other excuses for intellectual relaxation, from now on I'll be playing "Pass the Pigs" again, just like 15 years ago when in my first house in London we would spend hours chucking those little fellas about, cheering as we got a snouter or a leaning jowler and always aspiring to the elusive piggy back. Now all I need is some yahtzee dice and I'll be transported back to competitive heaven.
